Dean Francis


Dean Francis is a multi-award winning director, producer and cinematographer.

His catalogue of commercial campaigns, drama series, features films and documentaries have won dozens of awards and clocked up millions of online engagements.  

Dean’s first feature, the supernatural thriller ROAD KILL was released in 50 countries after critical acclaim on its Australian theatrical release.

His 2015 feature DROWN, released in USA, UK, Europe and Asia, became the fastest-selling film in the history of Mardi Gras Film Festival after sell-out screenings in Sydney and Melbourne, where it won Best Film, and a prestigious World Premiere at the Atlanta Film Festival. 

Dean holds a Master of Arts from the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) where where he has also lectured.
